A quick post with my top tips for an effective business card.

To make a business card work for you I think it needs three important things:

1) To carry your contact information Obvious, but important, and sometimes key information is forgotten!

2) To be legible

Make sure everyone is able to read that all-important contact info. It's no good if it looks pretty but nobody can read the phone number because it's too small or in a super-blocky font.

3) To convey your brand identity

Use your logo and colour scheme to present a design that instantly says your company to the recipient.

No No No

Small font, writing over the top of pictures, more than two different fonts, too many colours, colours inconsistent with your branding or nothing on the reverse - these are all no-no's for me.
